Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
Many clients are dealing with a pending foreclosure, garnishment or looming repossession. Filing Chapter 13 bankruptcy can help to stop creditor action and protect your property.
Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
Often, unexpected medical issues, divorce, loss of job or other change in your income can mean you can no longer meet your financial obligations. Sometimes, a financial fresh start or clean slate is just what is needed to allow you to move forward.
Even businesses have a hard time paying bills, sometimes, but when it gets to the point that the business is no longer viable, it may be time to consider filing business bankruptcy.
With property values increasing and forbareance periods ending, mortgage companies are becoming quicker to turn to foreclosure as an option to a delinquent mortgage. Don’t lose your home. Filing a bankruptcy can stop a foreclosure from happening.
Income Tax Discharge
Don’t believe when you hear that you cannot discharge tax debt. Under the right conditions, back income tax can be discharged in a bankruptcy. If the debt cannot be discharged, it can be placed in a debtor’s court for payment over a 3-5 year period.
Student Loan Help
Many private student loans will not work with a borrower to arrange a payment that works within the budget. Bankruptcy offers a means to pay student loans within your budget while staying out of default.
“When I had my power cut off because I just didn’t have the money to pay the power bill, a friend suggested I call Paula Greenway. From the moment I walked in her office I felt like a burden was lifted from my shoulders. Paula and her staff counseled me on the best options for debt relief for me and made me feel like I had a partner in overcoming problems that I thought were insurmountable. Not only did Paula show me the light at the end of the tunnel, she gave me hope for building a better financial future. I can finally breathe again without worrying about tomorrow. There is life after cutting up your credit cards…….”
“I would like to thank Greenway Law for the way in which they handled my bankruptcy case. I was very hesitant to talk to an attorney about bankruptcy because I am a single parent and work 60 hours a week and felt guilty for not being able to handle my finances. Paula and her staff helped me to understand how bankruptcy is not about failing as a person, but about making a new start with a clean slate and learning how to manage your credit. The mandatory on-line class was actually interesting, educational and informative. With Greenway Law’s help, I feel like there is hope for the future.”
“The decision to file for bankruptcy protection is not an easy one for professional people. The self-imposed anxiety is enough to bear without having added stress from the law firm representing you. In a profession not known for compassion and empathy I found the Greenway Law firm to be very compassionate. They understood my need to be kept in the loop and guided me through the process without having to initiate contact and be relegated solely to an assistant. The professional staff proactively notified me of all critical events and they were always courteous and discreet. I felt that Attorney Greenway was involved in every decision in my case even when I didn’t see her personally. I can’t tell you how comforting it is to know your attorney is working on your case. I would and have recommended their service to friend and associates.”
“Paula, just wanted to send you a thank you for all of your help on my bankruptcy. You and your firm were absolutely awesome in helping me with this. I saw a commercial for your firm the other day and it was great. I have a neighbor that is probably going to be filing very soon also. I told them all about you guys and how you really made it a very painless situation for me. I hope things are going well. Thanks again from our family to yours!”
“I want to say you’re an awesome team and a great group of people. I cannot really find the words to express my deepest heartfelt gratitude for all you and your staff did helping enable me to start my life again and get control of my finances. Wishing all of you and your families the best in happiness, health and safety. Thanks a bunch and God bless you all.”
